This is a shout out to all parents who have no plans to travel with their kids this school holiday. Why throw away all your money into tuition when you can be investing in classes, for your kids, that are just as important for their future as their academic achievements. I don’t disagree with the idea that studying is important. However, it is also important to learn important skills that last for a lifetime, skills that are transferrable in all professions.
This school holiday, November 2024, Yellow Pig Bear is putting together a 10-weekday entrepreneurship bootcamp for your children. The aim of this course is to give local students in Singapore access to a unique programme that is not readily available to them and to empower them with skills and knowledge that will last them for life.
Young Entrepreneurs is not just about entrepreneurship, operating a business and making money. It is also about self-discovery, what one is good at or passionate about, learning transferable skills such as persuasive speech, collaboration, branding and positioning oneself, financial management and financial literacy skills, customer service skills and more. The 10-weekday programme is enriching and intensive. It is very project-based and students will be very much occupied with this throughout the time they learn this. Yes, they will be so engaged, parents do not have to worry about their children interrupting their busy schedule or doing vain things like watching TV and playing computer games every day. The children will also have an opportunity to put to good use things they have learnt in school.
In 2023, DJ BEN did this same programme with a group of international school kids in Singapore, from the Singapore Korean International School. It was a success. This bootcamp will only be open to Primary/Grade 4-6 students living in Singapore. You will need a laptop or a tablet for this. Students can bring their own or we can provide it.
It will be over 10 Weekdays + 1 Saturday:
18-22 November 2024: Lessons 1-5
25-29 November 2024: Lessons 6-10
Fair Day: 30 November 2024
Everything is cumulative. That means the entire programme is scaffolded and missing one lesson might affect the student’s ability to understand or work efficiently in another lesson.
Each Lesson is 3 hours in duration (1pm-2pm every day, from Mondays through Fridays).
