Do you need someone to lead you through the fear of public speech? Do you get stage fright? Are you struggling to craft a memorable speech? Do you find yourself losing your audience’s attention frequently? I am here to help you.
Hi, everyone! My name is DJ and I am here to help you overcome your fear of the stage and become an eloquent and confident speaker. I have had at least 15 years of experience speaking and acting in front of crowds. As a student in secondary school and in university, I did many classroom presentations. As a student in secondary school, I also had the opportunity to do some live speeches in front of the whole school a couple of times, 200 students then 800 students. As a stage actor, I have performed in front of hundreds and thousands of people. I have also done public speaking in other places outside of school and in other countries. My role as a teacher has allowed to continue using such a skill to inspire so many children to do the same.
Through the years, I have learnt to overcome the fear of speech, stage fright and performance anxiety. I have learnt to become so bold, I have to keep reminding myself each time not to tell too many stories on stage, so that I do not go off point or speak for too long. I had no formal training prior to become a public speaker. However, every speech became a learning experience for me and every drama rehearsal and performance trained me to be more confident and to grab my audience’s attention.
In the past five years, I have had the opportunity to trained many children, 12 years and under, to do public speaking and have equipped them with the skills and knowledge necessary to be eloquent and influential speakers. I would like to continue to do so independently and help as many people as I can to become great presenters and public speakers too. I would like to help children, teens and adults to achieve this. Hence, I am opening up my classes to all age groups. Every class has a maximum capacity of 8 students.
Silver Tongue Academy is a project under my brand Yellow Pig Bear. The goal of it is to equip as many people as I can with the gift of speech.
